Harold is a North Carolina native, born in Greensboro and a graduate of the Mercersburg Academy and UNC Chapel Hill. He started his career with Smith Barney in Washington D.C. in 1982 as a registered representative in the Pennsylvania Avenue office. Harold was trained in Washington and New York where he attended both full service training and honorary post graduate training. He has held his Series 7 and 63 licenses in perfect standing for 20 years. Harold is a Series 24 registered principal with FSC Securities Corporation and holds all life, health & long term care licenses. Harold moved to North Carolina in 1986 to join a large Wall Street financial planning firm where he headed a company office in the RTP. He continued his equity business as well as bringing his clients operating business and real estate investments. Locally, Harold helped syndicate the Governors Inn, several IBM buildings in the park, Sutton Square shopping center and numerous local apartment complexes in Raleigh.
From 1990 until 2000 Harold was in charge of financial planning for the firm of Financial Analysts, Inc. in Raleigh, NC. His securities background with Smith Barney brought an advanced approach to equities, fixed income vehicles and private money management; his intense training in the use of charitable remainder trusts and other wealth transfer tools continued the firm's tradition of specialization. In 2000, Harold formed the firm of Investment Planning and Management, LLC to take his financial planning to a new level. With the latest technology, dedicated staff and is among the top back offices in the industry Harold's firm stands ready to meet the multitude of challenges meeting today's businesses and individual investors.
